Located on Vietnam’s central coast, Danang’s climate is well balanced between the country’s tropical southern and cooler northern weather patterns, with a slight inclination towards the north. Classified as ‘temperate with tropical monsoon characteristics’, Danang’s weather is split into two distinct seasons – wet and dry. The wet season runs from October to February with the longer dry season from March to September.

Central Vietnam is at its hottest between June and August, hovering around 30°C (86°F) in June and July and peaking in August at approximately 33°C (91°F).

The coolest temperatures usually fall in December, January and February, when it drops to between 18°C (64°F) and 23°C (73°F).

The wettest months are October and November, and average rainfall over the year can reach 2,500mm (98 inches).
