History of Tran Thi Ly Bridge in Da Nang
Built in 1950 by the French, Tran Thi Ly bridge is a railway bridge spanning the Han River in Da Nang. Initially called “De Lattre de Tassigny”, it was renamed Trinh Minh Bridge after all French street names were changed to Vietnamese in 1955.
On March 29th, 2013, parallel to the Nguyen Van Troi bridge in Da Nang, the reconstruction project was inaugurated and now serves as a reminder of revolutionary activist Tran Thi Ly.
